Making A Donation
Thank you for considering a donation to the Loess Hills Chapter of the American Red Cross! Your financial investment in the Loess Hills Chapter helps you and others prevent, prepare for and respond to local emergencies.

The American Red Cross provides assistance to people in need. Free of charge. Every single day! Your contribution means a great deal to the organization, but even more to the families who rely on the Red Cross to help them through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

When fires and storms destroy homes and belongings, stripping families of their safety and security, the American Red Cross is the first to help and the last to leave. Your financial donations help us meet the needs of men, women, and children who have faced the horror of personal disaster.

Your gift also provides support for our other programs including:

• CPR/AED Training
• First Aid Training
• Swimming Lessons and Water Safety
• Youth programs
• Meals on Wheels

The American Red Cross is not a government agency; therefore, we must rely solely on the generosity of the American public. With your ongoing support, we will continue to be there providing service to those in crisis!

Memorial/Honorarium Gift: A meaningful way to honor a loved one is through a memorial gift or to commemorate a special occasion ins though an honorarium gift. Any gift donated to the Red Cross, including a planned gift, can be mande as a memorial/honorarium to another individual.

Gift of Real Estate: When a donor makes an outright irrevocable gift of real property to the American Red Cross, he or she may be eligible for a charitable income tax deduction equal to the full, fair market value of the property.A donor who gives this type of gift may not only save capital gains, but also get a large charitable deduction.

Planned Giving Opportunities

Life Insurance Donation: Amend an existing insurance policy to add the Loess Hills Chapter of the American Red Cross as an additional beneficiary.

Bequests: A bequest is the gift that keeps on giving!Instruct your attorney to prepare a simple, inexpensive codicil to your existing will, thereby creating a bequest for the Loess Hills Chapter of the American Red Cross. For your convenience, suggested wording for making such a gift follows:
